Front Fork Checklist
- Check to see that the upper “inner” tubes are not
bent or damaged
- Drain and replace fork oil - typically 10 wt. or 15 wt. special “fork oil” is
used.
- When installed – make sure all pinch bolts are tightened
- Make sure the assembled forks allow for no binding (stiction) when sliding
up/down
- The front fender helps act as a “fork brace”
- If, after riding a bit, the upper forks are “wet”, the seals need to be
replaced.
