Backupper Notes

Over the last few days I've learned a few things about using Aomei Backupper.
The main thing is how to efficiently use it with a minimum of time required to perform the operations.
Wireless connections will work but it takes 4 times as long as needed. USB connected drive works much better but direct internal drive connection is best.
Here is what I have found to work best:
-Install Backupper in the computer where source drive is installed.
-Run a Backup (not System Backup) of the source drive and save it to a Backup folder.... this will take a while.
-Make a USB Bootable Media via Backupper Utilities (memory stick).

On the new computer:
-Get Win10 loaded.... forget the updates, etc. (This will format the disc and set it up with drivers)
-Install the drive from the source computer as a secondary drive.
-Use the memory stick as a boot device to boot up the new computer.
-Perform Backup Restore by using the original source drive Backup file.... this will also take a while.
-Remove source drive.
-Reboot using drive C:

Use Aomei help to assure you are making the right choices for the operation to be performed.

Another thing to note.... delete Recycle Bin files and any other unneeded that would reduce Bacup size.
After recovery the Device Manager will list devices on both the source computer and the new one. The new ones will be bold.
There is a way in the device manager to automatically clean out the uninstalled devices... can't remember exactly how.
I use Driver Booster to update all drivers (free download but watch what you install).
It would be good to run an optimized defrag on the new drive.
