H1/A Points Ignition

H1/A for some of the Euro market were fitted with points because the CDI caused radio and TV interference. Those early Euro H1's that came with CDI were supposed to be retrofitted with points to meet country requirements. France, UK and Germany wanted only points. US, Italy, and Norway kept the CDI. Some countries offered the choice between both ignitions including Sweden and Australia.

Euro points model engine #'s were KAE 5xxxx.

All H1B's were fitted with points ignition. All H1C's (US market only) were CDI.
