Clutch Release Modification

The later ball bearing type clutch releases are longer and therefore fit deeper into the case than the earlier versions.  On the H Series only, it will fit deep enough to damage the seal that fits behind it unless the later seal is used with it.  Seal kits for the H Series may contain the early seal without relief in applications where the later seal was factory installed.  Always check this when using a ball bearing release.

There are two ways around this problem.  One way is to space out the installation position of the clutch release.  The other is to grind down the excessive length of the release spline.
